How much do hair extensions cost?
What are the different types of hair extensions?
How long do hair extensions last?
How do you take care of hair extensions?
Can hair extensions damage natural hair?
How do you style hair extensions?

6. How do you style hair extensions?
Here are some tips for styling hair extensions:
Use a heat protectant spray before styling to protect the hair from heat damage.
Use a wide-tooth comb or a brush specifically designed for use on extensions to gently detangle the hair.
Use a low heat setting on heat styling tools, such as hair dryers, curling irons, and straighteners.
Avoid using too much product, as it can weigh the extensions down and make them look greasy.
Avoid using too much heat or styling the hair too frequently, as this can cause the extensions to dry out and become damaged.
If you have clip-in extensions, make sure to secure them properly before styling.
By following these tips, you can style your hair extensions without damaging them. Keep in mind that the specific styling techniques you can use will depend on the type of extensions you have, so it's a good idea to consult with a stylist for pro guidance.
7. Can hair extensions be dyed?
While doing research for this blog, I was surprised that the general answer was YES.
My first answer is NO. You have no idea if the extensions themselves have textile or regular dyes. Often the extensions are coated with a barrier that will not let you color the hair extensions. Lastly, coloring hair extensions can actually cause more damage to them. If anything you can deposit glosses and tones but I wouldn't use anything higher than a 7% developer.
You can't bleach or lighten hair extensions unless the hair is virgin.
8. How are hair extensions removed?
Hair Extensions should be removed by a professional. Not by your husband, your friend or a YouTube video. These are just examples of how removal is done.
There are several methods for removing hair extensions, including the following:
Beaded hair extensions: These extensions are typically removed by sliding a bead-releasing tool under the bead to loosen it and then gently pulling the extension out of your hair.
Bonded hair extensions: These extensions can be difficult to remove and may require the use of a solvent to dissolve the glue. A hairstylist can use a solvent specifically designed for this purpose, or you can try using rubbing alcohol or oil to loosen the glue. Once the glue is softened, the extensions can be gently pulled out.
Sewn-in hair extensions: These extensions are typically removed by cutting the threads that hold them in place. This should be done carefully to avoid damaging your natural hair.
It is generally best to have hair extensions removed by a professional hairstylist to minimize the risk of damage to your natural hair.
9. Can anyone get hair extensions?
Most people can get hair extensions, although the specific type of extensions that will work best for
If you have damaged hair or hair that is prone to breakage, you may want to avoid extensions altogether, or at least opt for a less-damaging extension method.
It is generally best to consult with a professional hairstylist to determine which type of hair extensions will be the most suitable for you.
10. How do you choose the right hair extensions for your hair?
There are several factors to consider when choosing a method of hair extensions:
Length and thickness of your natural hair: If you have short or thin hair, certain methods may not be suitable because they require a certain amount of hair to attach the extensions.
Lifestyle: Consider how much time and effort you are willing to put into maintaining your hair extensions. Some methods require more frequent maintenance than others.
Budget: Hair extensions can be a significant financial investment. Consider how much you are willing to spend on extensions and choose a method that fits your budget.
Desired look: Different methods of hair extensions will produce different looks. Think about the style and length of hair you want to achieve and choose a method that will help you achieve that look.
Professional consultation: It is always a good idea to consult with a professional stylist who is experienced in hair extensions. They can help you determine the best method for your specific hair type and desired look.
